Safe Hill was built from the ground up on a belief in growth, responsibility, and service. Founder Zack Smith began working in hospitality at just 14 years old, gaining early experience in customer service and discipline. By 17, he joined Countryside Golf & Country Club, where he progressed from busser to server, bartender, and eventually into management. These years built the foundation of his career — teaching leadership, service under pressure, and the value of growth through hard work.
Zack’s path later took him into insurance with Farmers Insurance under Corey Smalls and Allstate with Ted Todd and Andrew Filar. These years gave him a close view of how the industry works from the inside, training under respected agents and learning the importance of clarity and protection for families.
He then transitioned into a high-performance sales environment at City Furniture, where he guided families through major financial decisions every day. There he learned the power of trust, clear communication, and responsibility in helping people protect what mattered most to them. All of these experiences came together in the creation of Safe Hill Independent Insurance Agency.
